Joined Anne at the Galle Face hotel, Colombo; a place with loads of colonial charm. We then headed by packed train to the south coast; there we saw the famed stilt fishermen. Packed buses then took us to Sinharaja forest reserve. We took a guided walk in the rain forest in the monsoon rains; both of us left with less blood due to the many leaches! A train took us through the hill country to Kandy. We had romantic stays in wonderful colonial guest houses. Finally we toured the ancient cities by cycle which was great fun. For a chill out we then flew to the Maldives.
