1st Visit

Having completed a trek in Sikkim, I flew to the buddhist kingdom of Bhutan.  Having survived the infamous flight I was delighted to experience a unique culture. Yes it has challenges but it was so refreshing to see the strong protection of culture. I joined an Intrepid group and we in stark contrast to Sikkim took pleasant days walks and then recovered in excellent hotels.  We learnt much about the culture and managed to visit the east and central regions. It was a joy watching the men play games unique to Bhutan at the weekend.
