From Bahrain a smooth flight and bus got me to my hotel. My embargo on taxi's continued and it worked very well. I wondered the Salmiya area along the coast; alas the rental bike shop was closed thus I did alot of walking. I enjoyed the Souk Al-Mubarakiya which had a feeling from the past. I waited for night to see the Kuwait Towers lit up and was not disappointed. My test to find a bus back to the hotel was passed. The last day I took a ferry to Failaka Island in the hope of finding wrecked tanks from the Gulf war; alas the late ferry meant I had 1 hour to discover these and I refused to pay a taxi $75 for 30 mins. A $2 bus got me to the airport 25km away and thus left for home on budget.
