1st Visit

At the border with China the train changed wheels! With Luc and Dana we took a 2 week tour through the central steppes; our Russian 4WD vehicle did a great job; especially since we travelled mainly off road. Upon leaving the capital one goes back in time. A truly beautiful travel experience. Eventually, after much angst and 4 visits to the Embassy, with visa in hand we travelled by train to Russia.
