From Poland Peter & I took the bus to Levoca; a quiet town in east Slovakia. It's walls are still intact and the main square has many Renaissance buildings. Our flying visit took us to the ecclesiastical settlement of Spisska Kapitula and then a long walk took us to the magnificient Spissky Hrad; Slovakia's largest castle and a World Heritage site. Enroute to Hungary via train we stopped off in Kosice; Slovakia's impressive second city.

The lads arrived in Bratislava by train from Austria.  We spent the next 6 days exploring the capital and western Slovakia by bicycle.  We were spoilt by immaculate new cycle paths, perfect weather and great food and wine.  The cycle  route encompassed castles, villages and national parks. Ferns planning and Blackies navigation were impeccable.  I then left the group for Serbia.
