My solo adventure started with an exploration of Tahiti and then after visting the Marquesas a brief visit to Bora Bora. I then boarded the wonderful Aranui 5 ship which intially took me to the Tuamoto Islands.
The Marquesas are remote but worth the expensive flight. In Hiva Oa I made friends with Tika, a statue in the middle of a forest.
We had a special day where on the atoll of Mangareva a pearl farmer took us in his boat to explore the motus (coral islands). The good ship Aranui then set sail for the Pitcairn Islands.
Via the Arunui 5 I and my fellow solo travellers explored the Tuomoto islands of Anaa, Amanu and Hikueru. On each visit we were warmly welcomed by the small local population.

After the Aranui 5 cruise I visited the remote island of Rurutu in the Austral Islands. Immeditely, I joined 2 other solo travellers and we explored the famous caves, hiked and tried to swim with the humpback whales we saw breaching.
