1st Visit

15 - 22 September 2001

The Azerbaijan custom officer shaked our hands saying goodbye and then we entered Georgia. There we were met by the smiling Nana; our guide. Nana & I left our bush camp to find local wine. A farmer gave us several litres of his home made wine and gave it to us as a 'present from Georgia'. The hospitality during my visit was outstanding; the high quality of wine & food made for a great time. A tour of several churches across the country got us to Batumi and the Black Sea. This was a geographical landmark from the start point of Tashkent. I left the Dragoman group and returned to Tbilisi, for my flight home, with Nana & Sasa who were great hosts.
