We flew into the metropolis of Guatemala City, the largest city in Central America, from Nicaragua. Fortunately taxis whisked us away to the beautiful city of Antigua. A great city to hang out. Breakfasted at the cafe Condessa, old colonial house. The highlands were beyond expectations, the colourful clothes of the locals and perfect weather. A few of us then opted for a visit to Honduras and a stop over in El Salvador. We returned to the comparative safety of Guatemala for a night in Antigua before a flight home.
