Central America Tour
A challenging tour of a fascinating region.
The one-month Dragoman tour of Central America was confronting — it fell during Hurricane Mitch, and the poverty many lived in was hard to witness. We travelled overland through six countries, from the jungles of Panama and Costa Rica up to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, with Nicaragua caught in between.

Hurricane Mitch
Our tour coincided with Hurricane Mitch tearing through the region, one of the deadliest storms to hit Central America in modern memory.
Confronting poverty
The scale of poverty we saw in parts of the region was hard to witness, and stayed with me long after the trip ended.
