1st Visit

14 - 18 October 1993

Peter Brinkley & I landed at Kai Tak airport and breathed a sigh of relief; we had missed the sky scrapers either side of the landing strip. We stepped into the whirlwind culture with it's gross affluence. Land is precious thus everything was crammed into small spaces. This is why birds are the only practical pet. From Hong Kong we visited Macau. After our brief stay we took the leap into the unknown land of China.
