1st Visit

Our journey from Tanzania followed the shoreline of Lake Malawi. We noticed fishermen were using fine meshed nets; this cannot be sustainable. We took a fresh water altitude dive in the the lake; see Dive Log. Watching the vast array of Cichlid fish species was fascinating. Have you noticed the Cichlids! The area was infamous for malaria and despite our best efforts we were bitten several times; fortunately we got away with it. We passed through the capital city, Lilongwe, enroute to Zambia.
