1st Visit

A week on an island nation that almost no one seems to know about. An Airbnb gamble paid off with a great little apartment — a hundred metres to breakfast overlooking the ocean, two hundred to a wonderful snorkelling spot. The locals were friendly; when I asked for milk at the main store I was told the island had been without any for three weeks, with the next supply ship due the following week. I cycled right around “the Rock”, and was properly impressed — the chasms and snorkel spots were beautiful, and most of the time I had them entirely to myself.
