Our traverse through
Spain
took us over the border to the Atlantic Ocean and the interesting city
of Porto. There Braz & I discovered the wonders of Port; we had a
blissful day visiting the caves. We then headed south briefly stopping
at Esphinho and the capital Lisbon and finally arrived in the Algarve.
In Lagos we were staggered at the violence of a local bull fight;
several men were carried away after being mauled by athletic young
bulls. We stayed in Sagres and visited the landmark of Cape Saint
Vincent; Europe's most south-westerly point. Our grand
Inter Rail 1982 tour then continued
back to
Spain.
