Cameroon
A Country with a dual personality; half English and half French

1st & 2nd Visits

20 December 2000 - 6 January 2001 & 8 January 2001

In 1981 I was invited to Cameroon, thus, I was glad to visit at last. From Nigeria we crossed into the northern most area of Cameroon; we were only some 50 miles from Lake Chad. Waza national park had a beautiful location for a bar and had abundant wildlife. Christmas was well celebrated in Roumsiki; a spectacular setting. Enjoyed the 2 day trek through the Mandara mountains. A long long drive took us to Yaounde the capital; Fred and I people watched in a bar. Hung out at the beautiful resort of Kribi but a stomach bug limited my enjoyment. New Year's eve in Buea under Mount Cameroon. At Limbe departed the Dragoman group and explored the country's largest city, Douala, on own. From there flew to Equatorial Guinea for a brief visit and then returned for a memorable day.
